A freight marketplace for the Douala–N'Djamena corridor

Shippers found trucks through brokers and phone calls. Prices were opaque, hauliers waited weeks to be paid, and disputes over damaged loads had no shared record to settle them.

We built a modular monolith around a ledger: every deposit, advance, fee and payout is a balanced transaction, and escrow is an account rather than a flag. Matching started as a transparent scoring function the operations team can reason about. Events leave the system through a transactional outbox so notifications never announce something that rolled back.

Shippers see prices and available trucks in minutes. Hauliers are paid on delivery from escrow. Disputes are resolved from a shared history instead of competing phone calls.
